FAQs
How do you classify your direction/style?
"Changing direction in life is not tragic. Losing passion in life is." - Max Lucado
This quote couldn't be a better answer to this question. I've always had a hard time putting anything I do into one category and giving it a name or label. As I go through phases in life, my photography and style does too. I do strive to keep a timeless look to all of my images and avoid trends but I am never afraid to try new things.
How many years of experience do you have?
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in photography. I learned black and white film photography in college and spent a lot of time in a darkroom or learning about art. After college I expanded into the digital world.
I have been in the wedding & portrait photography industry for 10+ years.
Why did you start Studio Llotus? Why the two 'L's in Llotus?
Studio Llotus is an ongoing, ever changing and growing project that was started around 2015. It's a huge part of me. I am always working to better the business for the future and sometimes I don't even know what that may bring.
I'm a nostalgic person. I had a grandfather that although we never met, I am reminded that I am very similar to him. His name was "Lloyd". I value staying grounded and true to my roots and wanted to keep his spirit alive using the double L.
Do you travel?
Absolutely.
Any distance.
I offer discounts on my 'bucket list' locations!
Whats your turn around time?
It depends on the season and I prefer not to put an exact time frame on any of my galleries.
As a rough guesstimate - engagements + family + portrait galleries take around 6 weeks. Weddings + elopements can take 12-14 weeks.
Some seasons of life are busier than others. Trust me, I would never rush through the editing process and I keep clients up to date with how their gallery is coming along.
How are my photographs delivered? Can I order prints?
After your photographs have been thoroughly reviewed, processed and edited, they will be uploaded into an online gallery. You will receive a link to create a password to keep your photos safe. You can share this link with family, friends, and anyone you want to be able to view and purchase photos/prints. Your gallery is linked to an online store. I always suggest ordering larger prints/albums through Studio Llotus, as your prints are color calibrated with your gallery and my editing.
Tangible products are important to me and I try to keep my prices so that it is reasonable for any and all family/friends to purchase.
Your gallery is also available for download with printing rights.
